Easy A (2010) tells the story of Olive Penderghast, a clean cut high school girl who has done white lie that she lost her virginity to his gay friend Brandon. Olive acts similar to Hester Prynne in The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. She agrees to work the rumor mill to improve her social life and financial standing.
